Musical multi effects analysis
Masár, Igor ; Kubásek, Radek (referee) ; Friedl, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with guitar effect and guitar sound in general. Most widely used effects are described as well as their output time courses are simulated. There is a comparison of analog and digital effects. There is also explained the principal of guitar multiefects, described all parts of guitar efect chain and determined key parameters, which has the main impact on quality of final sound. It is used to describe a methodology for measuring multi-effects and the results obtained by this measurement. The last part deals with psychoacoustic measurements.
Use of Augumented Reality to Teach Guitar/Bass Playing
Kajan, Miroslav ; Zachariáš, Michal (referee) ; Šolony, Marek (advisor)
This final work deals with a design and implementation of a system suitable for teaching guitar playing by using the technology of augmented reality. A webcam and the musical instrument itself are necessary for a guitar player to achieve the main aim. The system is based on a principal of homography and other techniques to work with the image. The system also renders the tones of a chosen trained element (an accord or a scale) right into the image captured by a webcam.
Analysis of Resonance Cabinets of Different Types of Acoustic Guitars
Juhaščik, Lukáš ; Musil, Jaroslav (referee) ; Jirásek, Ondřej (advisor)
Bacherlor‘s thesis deals with spectral analysis of guitar body. The aim of the study is the place of resonantion modes at whole body, its frequency and the impact to the final sound.
Computer Aided Transformation of Guitar Solos from Recorded Song to Tabs
Joščák, Juraj ; Veigend, Petr (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was automatic pitch detection in melodic guitar lines and subsequent transcription to guitar tablature. Final system uses comb filtering to detect pitch. Individual notes are separated by beat detection. An algorithm for transcription of notes to guitar tablature, based on minimalization of hand movement is proposed.
Guitar tube preamplifier with digitally controlled presets
Malinčík, Ondrej ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
Aim of this work is design of guitar tube preamplifier which tone corrections and gain control is controlled electronicaly using digital potentiometers with ability to saving these values to memory. This work analyses and discuss used circuitry in design and presents demonstration of possible replacement of mechanical potenciometer with digital one in the conclusion.
Design and construction of a tube guitar amplifier
Šona, Štěpán ; Dvořák, Jan (referee) ; Kubánek, David (advisor)
The text of this bachelor’s thesis deals with the design, simulation and construction of a tube amplifier for electric guitar, based on the well-known guitar amplifier VOX AC 30. The theoretical part deals with the design and simulation of the original circuit. Subsequently, adjustments were made on both channels and simulated. The practical part of the work already deals with the construction itself, measuring the finished guitar combo. Frequency modulus characteristics, harmonic distortion, spectra and time courses of signals for distorted and clear channel were measured. Then the measurement was evaluated.
Chord recognition
Soudek, Ondřej ; Glembek, Ondřej (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to create an application, that will perform a real-time analysis of a signal from electric or acoustic guitar and will recognize a chord or tone, played by user. This document contains basics of music theory and the solution of the problem, as well as the results of testing.
Valve amplifier for guitar
Hrabaň, Václav ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with design, simulation and construction of guitar amplifier circuit with valves as active devices. Thesis describes in detail one of possible conceptions of a two channel amplifier with switching of clean and overdrive channel. Design contains input amplifier, two switchable preamplifiers, inverter, power amplifier, switching circuit and supply unit. Preamplifiers contain each their own frequency filter and regulation of gain and volume. Power amplifier works in class AB and its power is 40 W.
Experimental Electro-Mechanical Musical String Instrument
Blasche, Ondřej ; Mojdl, Edgar (referee) ; Dlouhý, Dan (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design and build stringed mechanical electrphone with unusual sound characteristics. The end product is an instrument devided into three sections with specific options of sound creation, able to be both plucked and played with a bow. Thesis utilizes knowledge of electric guitar construction and their sound pickup methods. It also deals with experimentation in the field of strig instruments and their development.
Software Guitar Looper with Remote Control
Kalník, Jan ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with creating a software guitar looper in a visual programming language called Pure Data and also building a specific remote controller for it. The remote cont- roller will be based on a MIDI protocol. As a part of the software, there will be a special aligning algorithm, that will take care of precise alignment of the created loop on beat in the way that no other intrusive rhythmical or tempo related elements are present.
